BABCP-accredited CBT therapist

You feel everything deeply.
And it's exhausting.

Other people's moods, the tension in a room, the weight of things left unsaid. You carry it all. You've probably been told you're too sensitive. You're not. Your nervous system is simply wired differently, and therapy can finally be built around that.

You've been carrying this for a long time

Most people who find their way here have spent years wondering why ordinary life feels so much harder for them than it seems to for everyone else.

  • You leave social situations exhausted, even ones you enjoyed
  • Other people's moods affect you in ways you can't quite explain
  • You overthink conversations long after they've ended
  • You feel things, joy, sadness, beauty, injustice, more intensely than the people around you
  • You've been told you're "too sensitive" or "too much" your whole life
  • Busy environments, loud noises or harsh lighting can feel physically overwhelming
  • You put everyone else first and struggle to know what you actually need
  • Anxiety, burnout or exhaustion feel like your permanent baseline
"You're not broken. Your nervous system is wired to process the world more deeply, and that has likely never been understood in therapy before."
Most people who reach out tell me they've tried therapy before and it helped somewhat, but never quite fit. That's usually because it wasn't built for how they actually work.

A therapist who understands this
from the inside

I'm Kavita, a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist with over a decade of experience working in mental health, including roles within the NHS and private practice.

I specialise in anxiety, burnout and emotional exhaustion in people who feel the world more deeply than most. I'm also an HSP myself, which means I don't just understand this intellectually. I understand it from the inside.

My approach is CBT adapted for sensitive nervous systems, not applied generically, but built around how you specifically process the world. That means we work at your pace, with your patterns, and focus on understanding rather than just coping.

I also work with Asian clients navigating cultural expectations alongside their sensitivity, an intersection that very few therapists in the UK are equipped to hold.

The goal of our work together is that you understand yourself well enough that you no longer need me.

Before you reach out

I've tried therapy before and it didn't quite help. Why would this be different?
Most standard CBT is designed for the average nervous system and applied generically. If you're wired to process things more deeply, that approach often misses the mark. The work we do is specifically adapted for sensitive nervous systems. The pace, the tools, and the focus are all different.
I'm not sure I'm "bad enough" to need therapy.
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you're exhausted, overwhelmed and can't work out why, that's enough. Many of the people I work with are highly functional on the outside and quietly struggling on the inside.
What if I'm not a highly sensitive person?
You don't need to know whether you're an HSP to work with me. If the feelings described on this page resonate, exhaustion, overwhelm, feeling everything deeply, that's the right starting point. We'll make sense of it together.
Do you work with clients in crisis or with complex clinical needs?
I work best with adults who are emotionally exhausted, anxious or burnt out but are not in active crisis. I don't manage clinical risk. If you're currently experiencing thoughts of self-harm or need urgent mental health support, please contact your GP or call 116 123 (Samaritans) for immediate help.
Where are you based and who can you work with?
I work fully online and see clients across the UK, Europe and worldwide. Due to insurance, I'm unable to offer therapy sessions to clients based in the USA or Canada, but online courses are available to everyone globally.
How much does it cost and how do I start?
Sessions are £95 for 50 minutes. The best place to start is a free 15-minute consultation call, no commitment, just a chance to see if we're the right fit before anything else.
